About
I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with experience in both hospital and private practice settings. I believe a holistic approach to client care is important to promote well-being. I consider physical, mental, developmental, behavioral, interpersonal, social, and spiritual factors to understand your needs, to personalize techniques/coping strategies, and to promote personal growth and healing. I work to develop an accepting and understanding environment to help you to become more aware of attitudes, thoughts, and beliefs that are negatively affecting your mood, behaviours, and physiology.
I work from a client-centered approach to create a trusting, comfortable, and safe environment to help you to share your concerns and participate in therapy. I draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Humanistic/Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Systemic/Structural Therapy.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults. My expertise focuses on anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, and work-related stress. I have a special interest in marital issues and child/adolescent emotional/behavioral problems. I value a team approach to your care (collaborating with psychiatrists and family physicians)..
