About

Do you feel misunderstood, disconnected, stuck? Are you struggling to understand your thoughts, process your emotions, or manage your responses? Searching for peace can sometimes feel like an overwhelming process, especially if you have been looking for it for a long time. As we go through difficult experiences, I believe that there is comfort in not being alone. Together, we can create shifts that will enhance your life and support you with achieving your goals for healing and growth. You are not alone on this journey.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I can bring my therapeutic expertise into our conversations and assist with supporting you in carefully restoring the pieces to living well – on your terms and at your own pace. I have experience providing trauma-informed therapy to individuals experiencing complex trauma, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, personality/dissociative disorders, grief and loss, attachment wounds, addictions, substance use, and sexual assault. I value and incorporate approaches into our counselling sessions that are based on research and have demonstrated effectiveness for promoting healing, growth, and resiliency. Before entering the counselling profession, I was a certified inclusion educator for over 15 years. I enjoy utilizing my passion for education in my current practice and I impart knowledge and skills to the individuals I support to ensure they feel understood, heard, and empowered.

I celebrate diversity, and I seek to support individuals with understanding how their identities and social interactions impact their mental health. I believe therapy is effective when the individual maintains an active role in developing and achieving their personal wellness goals, and because of this, I work collaboratively with clients to help identify strengths and solutions within a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, acceptance, and hope. I sincerely believe that developing a meaningful life inclusive of your beliefs, values, and life’s purpose can create fulfilling and lasting changes and promote authenticity, productivity, and overall contentment.
