Life can be challenging. We’ve all been there. And sometimes we need a little extra support to get through them. I am a social worker with a Masters in Clinical Social Work. I have worked in a hospital in mental health for the past 10 years and have recently transitioned my knowledge and experience into private practice. I work primarily with adults who struggle with borderline personality, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and substance abuse. I have been formally trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and spent 8 years on a hospital DBT team as a skills facilitator and individual therapist.
I have a special interest in working to empower people to achieve their potential and enhance their strengths. Often this is done by learning new skills to cope with life’s challenges or becoming aware of patterns of behaviours or ways of thinking.
I use a variety of approaches to work with my clients including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Self Regulation Therapy (SRT) and Mindfulness.
Currently I work evenings and Saturdays.
